Stratasys Releases Material, Printer and Software Updates

By Tricia Klebe on November 18, 2016

Stratasys is finishing out the year strong with several product releases. We’re excited to share the new material, printer and software updates and how these improvements to Stratasys’ product line will enhance and optimize your 3D workflow.

Fortus 900mc Gen II

SSYS_Q4 Product Launches.jpgFortus 900mc just got even better! The new Fortus 900mc Gen II has the same great throughput, repeatability and durability as the previous version, with an addition of these bonus features:

  • Remote print monitoring with a new internal camera
  • Emergency E-stop button for safer operation
  • GrabCAD Print features
  • Refreshed look and updated branding
  • Robust electrical system; NRTL listed and CE compliant
  • Added functionality with Insight software and control center — camera view and job reports

This FDM Technology can handle the demands of industrial use and manufacturing while remaining reliable. Instead of struggling to produce large prototypes or deliver low-volume parts, Stratasys Fortus 900mc Gen II allows faster build speed and cost effective production for both volume and complexity.

Nylon 6

NEW Image - Nylon 6 Jig.jpgIn addition to printer updates, Stratasys also released a new production-grade thermoplastic called FDM Nylon 6. This material is ideal for 3D applications that require strong, customized parts and long-lasting, durable tooling. Whether engineering in the automotive, aerospace, consumer goods or industrial manufacturing industry, Nylon 6 produces a polished finish and can withstand rigorous functional testing. Plus, this production-grade thermoplastic pairs perfectly with the 3D printers in Stratasys’ Fortus series.

SUP706

FDM thermoplastics isn’t the only 3D printing material advancement. Stratasys also released a new PolyJet soluble support material known as SUP706. SUP706 drastically improves the support material removal process, as it is supported by hands-free removal and WaterJet removal methods. This facilitates designing intricate and delicate multi-material parts since cleaning excess and interior cavities are easier than ever. SUP706 is a time-efficient, low-labor solution for all PolyJet materials and all Connex 1/2/3/ 260/350/500 printers.

GrabCAD Print

Stratasys streamlines the design to 3D printing workflow with their intuitive GrabCAD Print software. GrabCAD is supported by a range of Stratasys 3D printers and is a great complementary solution to their existing software. With greater accessibility and connectivity, Stratasys GrabCAD Print has benefits worth exploring. Read our blog for more details.
