Star Wars: The Force Awakens – The Final Jedi Lightsaber Installment

The wait is over! The third, and final, installment of the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Design Your Own SOLIDWORKS Lightsaber” series is here!

In our first video, we showed you the rapid speed rendering of a lightsaber in SOLIDWORKS 2016. The second segment of this series broke down the rendering process in more detail while providing suggested dimensions and providing tips for efficiency in your own rendering processes. 

Your SOLIDWORKS lightsaber should be looking pretty sweet right about now. This final video of our Star Wars series is going to take your lightsaber to a whole new level using SOLIDWORKS 2016.

Our application engineer, Devin Martin, will show you how to add materials and lights before placing your lightsaber against a background of outer space. You'll also see how the “Bloom” feature is used to make your lightsaber blade glow in your final render.
