What is ULTEM?
Printing the Strongest 3D Parts with ULTEM 1010The Stratasys ULTEM Resin is an amorphous thermoplastic polyetherimide (PEI) resin that offers outstanding elevated thermal resistance, high strength and stiffness and broad chemical resistance. It is often used in the aerospace, automotive and medical industries for demanding applications that no other thermoplastic can handle. Stratasys supplies ULTEM 9085 to customers for production-grade parts. It is a superior product for applications that require toughness, flexibility and UL 94 V0 Burn certification. 

Recently, Stratasys added ULTEM 1010 to their material lineup, which compliments the properties of ULTEM 9085 and expands the applications that can be printed with ULTEM.

What is ULTEM 1010? 

Known as the next generation of Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) ULTEM, ULTEM 1010 is one of the most popular grades of Polyetherimide (PEI) Thermoplastic. With the highest tensile strength of any FDM material, coupled with highest temperature and chemical resistance, ULTEM 1010 offers bio compatible, breakaway support material.
