Desktop Metal is reinventing the way manufacturing and engineering companies produce metal parts. The Desktop Metal Studio System is an office-friendly metal 3D printer, and it is the only end-to-end metal 3D printing system that is cost-effective for engineering groups. Unlike laser-based systems that selectively melt metal powder, the Studio System printer extrudes bound metal rods—similar to how a plastic FDM printer works.
