Making the DragonFly2020 Pro

Nanodi#0073v2N3MedThe mechanical engineers who designed the DragonFly 2020 Pro relied on SOLIDWORKS to design all of the components. They didn't have to order any extra parts, or relay on any offshore resources, so that the creation of the printer was able to be done all in-house. The few iterations that needed to be done throughout the project life-cycle were completed quickly and efficiently since it was possible to manage all the design assets within the single SOLIDWORKS software platform. The linear motion systems, the heating and cooling systems and even the outer shell of the DragonFly2020 were designed within the software. Tim Sheehan, Vice President of Global Sales and Customer Care reported, "100% of our machine has been designed, tested and simulated inside of SOLIDWORKS software."
