What to Expect After You Purchase a 3D Printer

    May 24, 2022

Whether you’re looking to purchase a new Stratasys 3D printer from TriMech or just ordered one, you may be wondering, what happens now? Do I have to do anything on my end to make sure that this printer arrives safely? What kind of information do I need to provide to TriMech to facilitate this delivery? When will the machine be installed? Maybe something else? Today, we’re going to tackle that very topic!

3D Printing Tech Tips Add Color to St. Patrick's Day Festivities

    March 22, 2022

When you think of making models using an Additive Technology, one of the things that certainly comes to mind these days is that you can make parts in color! Some technology are better suited to this, such as our PolyJet technology using the Stratasys J55 or J850, which I’ve created all sorts of content for on our blog in the past, but you seldom of FDM technology as an option. I'll show you how easy it is!

How to Leverage Industry 4.0: Additive Manufacturing Software

    January 18, 2022

We have recently seen the release of several new additive manufacturing technologies from Stratasys that are going to have a major impact on both the R&D and manufacturing world. There are 3D printers for every step of the production cycle – from design to prototype, tooling and molding, assembly jigs and test fixtures, to even end-use production. Over the past few years, 3D printing has quickly evolved from being strictly a tool for rapid prototyping into a legitimate option for mass production. No single technology is the best for all steps of the manufacturing process but every industrial-grade additive technology excels at something. While the technologies have been advancing leaps and bounds, it’s taken much longer for the software that controls these machines to keep up.

Expanding Capabilities at TriMech with the Stratasys Origin One

    December 21, 2021

It looks like we’re on Santa’s “Nice” list this year because we lucked out and got something truly special just in time for the Holidays! The TriMech Advanced Manufacturing Services Team in Rocky Hill, CT has been eagerly awaiting the brand new Origin One system for quite some time, and the wait is finally over! I’ve been writing holiday articles for years now, and most of the time I get to show off a new material or a new technology, but this year I get to do both at the same time and I think you’re all going to have a great time learning more about this incredible new system.

TriMech Ramps Up Rapid Prototyping Possibilities for Businesses

    June 29, 2021

It has been an eventful year so far for the TriMech RP Services team. Six months ago we outgrew our longtime printing facility and now we’re established at our new location in Connecticut and fully operational! We keep up with the advancements in new technologies that come out regularly including several new materials and machines released from Stratasys the past few months (with more coming out later this year).

Additionally, TriMech and another industry leader, Javelin Technologies of Canada have come together as one team. All of these changes are exciting TriMech, as well as the industry as a whole, but what I'm really excited to talk about are the changes to our Rapid Prototyping Services department and how we are making these technologies more accessible to new and existing customers.

The Continuing Story of the TriMech Holiday Ornament

    December 22, 2020

It is a scientifically proven fact that playing with toys can improve your mood, so this holiday season I decided to play with the 3D printing “toys” I am lucky enough to have access to here at TriMech! A few years ago I was able to create some incredible Snowman Holiday Snow Globe Ornaments in full color plus clear (and they still adorn our Christmas Tree’s and desks at TriMech this time of year). Since then, Stratasys has added an incredible new machine to its lineup, as well as a wonderful new material, so I felt that this would be a great time to revisit that design and see what these advancements are capable of.

3D Printing Spooky Translucent Parts with PolyJet Technology

    October 30, 2020

This time last year, we were creating some amazing multi-color and multi-material lollipops using the incredible Stratasys J850. This year, I thought that it would be fun to try something a bit different and see if we could put our industrial design skills to the test and make some fun, slightly spooky, moderately goofy Halloween ghost pendants using the brand new Stratasys J55 PolyJet 3D printer! In doing so, we’ll learn about a fascinating process using an advanced image editing software which can be applied to all sorts of projects.
