For instance, many students have noted that dimensions in drawings come in gray in some cases, and black or blue in others. This can be particularly frustrating if you have been able to bring in both colors separately without knowing.     Seeing is believing! What I am talking about is how to make a spring in SOLIDWORKS. While we can create motion with spring forces in SOLIDWORKS, the spring itself is not modeled and doesn't move. To work around this obstacle, many users ask me how to model a spring that can be compressed or stretched in a SOLIDWORKS animation. The answer is not too complex, but is definitely not orthodox.
